A highly respected oil for over 3,000 years German Chamomile pure essential oil's pleasing aroma is deep, mellow and sweet. It is somewhat reminiscent of fresh mown hay. One of the most powerful anti-inflammatory essential oils in aromatherapy. The high Azulene content in German Chamomile oil gives it a gorgeous shade of deep blue, as well as its highly regarded anti-inflammatory and fever reducing properties.  

An analgesic (pain reliever) and an antispasmodic (calms nerves) German Chamomile oil stimulates the production of red blood cells and is known to relieve a variety of aches and pains.

German Chamomile oil is my first Choice for treating inflamed, irritated skin conditions. It has a long history of helping skin conditions, such as dermatitis, boils, acne, skin rash, eczema and psoriasis. German Chamomile balances sebum production and is useful for both oily and dry hair and scalp conditions, as well as sensitive skin types. Often used in skin care for treating burns and cuts. German Chamomile may be useful for treating shingles!

German Chamomile essential oil sedative action is known to have a soothing, tranquilizing and calming effect upon the mind and emotions. It is especially beneficial for treating migraine or nervous headache and other stress-related complaints. Try German Chamomile in a cool compress or in your aroma diffuser to soothe nervous tension and anxiety.

Pregnant moms especially enjoy the soothing aroma of German Chamomile oil as it helps them to stay calm, rested and relaxed. German Chamomile is a traditional remedy for fussy babies.

Known to help relieve colic, intestinal cramps and gas, as well as to ease teething pain. Because of its gentle and benign nature German Chamomile oil may be used to soothe diaper rash. Use in a very weak dilution of pure light coconut oil of less than 1%.

German Chamomile aromatherapy oil is an excellent sleep aid and helpful for treating insomnia, sleep disturbances and night fears! Inhale German Chamomile just before bed time to sleep like a baby and have sweet and pleasant dreams.

BLEND WITH: The effect of using Chamomile alone is quite lovely. In a blend choose the more emotionally supportive oils like Atlas Cedarwood, Himalayan Cedarwood, Clary Sage, Frankincense, Geranium Bourbon, Helichrysum, Lavender, Neroli, Orange, Petitgrain, Rose, Sandalwood, Vetiver.
