The Aquarius New Moon is incredibly well aspected by other celestial bodies, including conjunction with the first degree magnitude wealth star Altair the Eagle.
This Aquarius New Moon is a Super Moon. There are 6 super moons in 2015. The new moons on January 20, February 18 and March 20 and full moons in July, August and September are all super moons.
Super moons are “perigree” moons meaning they are closer to the earth and occur within 90% of the moon’s closest approach to earth. The February 18th second Aquarius New Moon in a row at 29º 59’ is the second closest to pedigree in 2015 and the September 12, 2015 supermoon which is a Solar Eclipse Virgo Full Moon is THE closest to the earth.

The electro magnetic pull of the moon on the earth is strongest during pedigree moons and more significantly effect the earth’s tides. The moon’s closeness to the earth also effects your emotional tides. So, your emotions are even stronger and closer to the surface during Supermoons.
The Aquarius New Moon conjunct the Sun on January 20th is ALSO conjunct the first degree magnitude start Altair, the eagle. AT this time there may be sudden good fortune. Your courage helps you rise above challenges and ascend to soar above your former circumstances that previously held you back.
The Aquarius New Moon is sextile to Saturn in Sagittarius conjunct Pallas Athena (the warrior goddess). So you feel strong, practical grounded, powerful feminine to stand your ground, hold firm to your course of initiation and taking action towards your desires.
Venus is opposed to Jupiter conjunct Juno (the planet of partnership and commitment to a goal, or project, another person). Expands, illuminates love in partnership and agreements made now.
Mars conjunct Neptune in Pisces. Energy to pursue realize dreams.
Mercury is about to station retrograde at 17º Aquarius tomorrow January 20th at 7:54am Pacific. Remember Mercury conjuncted Venus the day it entered shadow (the degree to which it will retrograde back to) at Cancer Full Moon Jan 4th. This was a major time of purging and purification of your emotional body.
As Mercury slows down to station retrograde at the Aquarius New Moon it absorbs the energy from the Aquarius New Moon which it will carry during its review process that you’ll be undergoing over the next few weeks. You’ll be in a re-programming and integration of new perceptual shifts you’ll undergo during this time until Mercury leaves its shadow on March 4th at the time of the Virgo Full Moon on March 5th.
Mercury is sextile to Uranus and the South Node and trine to the North Node at the time of its Station Retrograde.
Lots of Feminine energy has been absorbed by Mercury the manager of your conscious programs. You’re more porous to re-consideration of previous attitudes you’ve held.
With the square intensifying between Saturn and Neptune you should be getting strong feedback if you’re on your soul path. Generally if you’re on your soul path things are unfolding synchronously for you and you’re able to flow and allow things to work in your favor and work out for everyone concerned.
If your frequency of attention is on your fears and being in control of outcomes and not trusting the flow of your life you’ll be met with even stronger feedback loops and frustration, spinning your wheels and getting no where may be the order of the day.
