I’ve been tuning in for Oprah’s web event featuring Eckhart Tolle’s “A New Earth,” joined by over 12,000,000 people from around our globe. There are essential oils that can be a wonderful aid to your focus and study of “A New Earth” for memory retention and transformation of your consciousness, and awakening to your life’s purpose. Adding essential oils to your “New Earth” or other spiritual study space can provide welcomed support to your journey.
The essential oils recommended in this article can make wonderful study aids for enlightenment courses, helping set the mood by clearing (Rosemary), creating a sacred space and promoting insight (Frankincense), giving mental clarity (Basil or Peppermint).
Diffuse your oils gently in an aroma lamp or diffuser while reading or listening to the material, or dispense a few drops on a tissue nearby.
ROSEMARY (Rosmarinus Officinalis ct. verbenon ) – has the highest hydrogen (light) content of all the essential oils. Its fresh, clean, penetrating and herbaceous aroma. In ancient Greece and Rome wreaths made of Rosemary were worn by students to improve mental focus and memory when studying or taking exams! Rosemary’s invigorating scent is mentally and physically reviving and a wonderful aid for letting go of feelings of stress, frustration, inner resistance and the tendency to struggle.
Rosemary improves mental capacity and awareness, strengthens the imagination and the ability to evaluate possibilities. Useful aid for meditation as it stabilizes and clears the mind for effective practice.
PEPPERMINT ( Mentha piperita ) – distinctly penetrating scent that’s great for keeping alert! Most notably Peppermint aids your ability to focus and sustain your attention. When concentration is needed you can rely on Peppermint.
Use Peppermint when you are in the planning stages of an important project, or need to find motivation to follow through and act on your important decisions and take action. Known to clear brain fog Peppermint is good for memory retention, use it alone or in a blend when completing a work project, homework assignment or studying for an exam!
BASIL (Ocimum basilicum, ct linalool) – Warm and spicy aromatic scent that’s rich in camphor Sweet Basil smells like the fresh herb. Basil can provide you with a pronounced increase in your ability to be mentally alert when driving late at night, studying for an exam, or in any situation where your prolonged focus or need to retain information is required.
