This Week’s General Astrology Forecast
The week starts off with a Capricorn Full Moon that forms an explosive Grand Cardinal Cross Pattern that can help you break free of restrictions, become more fully empowered and realize your dreams. Potent week of destiny when fate may intervene.
Look in your natal chart to find out what house the Capricorn Full Moon is located to get a hint about what area of your life you’re celebrating a completion and/or where you may need to release any burdens or restrictions that can prevent fulfillment of the promise of the Cancer New Moon fresh start initiated on June 23rd (see Meaning of the 12 Houses below).
If you have personal planets or points in the Cardinal signs of Libra, Capricorn, Aries or Cancer you will feel the Grand Cross energies playing in July most strongly. The last two peak dates of the Cardinal Grand Cross this month are at the Capricorn Full Moon on July 8th and the Aries Last Quarter Moon on July 16th.
The fires of transcendence are powered up until the 0º Leo New Moon on July 23rd when a powerful new beginning is possible (see Meaning of the 12 Houses below). This new seeding in Leo is where the North Node is now located until November 2018. In August we have a second powerful Leo New Moon on August 21st which is also a Lunar Eclipse at 28º Leo.
BEST MONEY DAY this week July 10th, 11th and 12th.
Best Money Days are days when the collective celestial events bring greater than usual opportunities. This may not translate into direct and immediate cash in your pocket, but potential for increase in your future prospects. Astro Energy Report Highlights
All dates are at exact peak of intensity when energies begin to culminate and wane. If you have personal planets or points within 1-2º orb of an aspect that’s occurring between planets then you will feel that celestial even more strongly.
On July 8th we have the 17º Capricorn Full Moon exact at 9:07pm PT. This is the main celestial event of the week.
The Capricorn Moon rules the 10th house of status, honors, awards and recognition. It’s considered the sign of the executive or professional. Capricorn is ruled by Saturn and governs the 10th house or profession and standing in the world, or your title in life. This may be how you’re introduced to others, CEO of a company, the wife of Charles or Emily’s grandmother.
Here’s the Capricorn Full Moon Celestial Line Up:
The Capricorn Moon is Conjunct to Pluto, adding greater power and prestige to the Capricorn Moon.
The Capricorn Moon is Sextile (brings opportunity) with Neptune now Retrograde in Pisces. An opportunity for an opportunity about an ideal or dream (Neptune) may be presented to you now or come to light.
Of course the Full Moon always stands exactly opposite the Sun, bringing illumination to what has been hidden, especially with Pluto involved there’s tremendous power being unleashed by this Full Moon.
The Sun is presently transiting through Cancer which rules the 4th house. This often known as the Mother and Father axis in the zodiac chart. As
Capricorn ruled by Saturn represents the patriarchy and the Cancer Moon represents Mother, family, hearth and home. There’s a need to balance the male and female counterparts of your psyche. An imbalance can result in power struggles with others. Another way this might manifest if you are fairly integrated and balanced you can attract people who may resist the balance you represent to them. Projection can become problematic and power struggles can come to a head with others often during a full moon.
The Cancer Sun is also conjunct to Mars, a very masculine, dominating sign and the hot head of the zodiac. Mars the warrior planet can overreact and be quick to taken action without forethought of consequences then later regret the mess they make.
The Sun and Moon, along with their conjunctions to Mars and Pluto are forming a Grand Cardinal Cross Square pattern with Jupiter in Libra and Uranus in Aries.
There’s major illumination that can potentially activate far-reaching change for evolutionary growth. The energies are tense and there’s pressure to take action. This is not a wait and see time, but action is called for to adapt and adjust to changes being initiated. Either change or be forced to changes.
On July 14th Mercury at 14º Leo is Sextile to Jupiter in Libra. They are forming a quincunx pattern to Neptune in Pisces, a Finger of God or Fate. Neptune is at the apex of the Finger of Fate point. The Moon is also in Pisces and eclipsed Neptune Retrograde exactly yesterday. The quincunx energy is blending energies that are quite different, so it can feel irritating. However, there’s something fated about this day. Pay attention to what transpires as destiny has a hand to play and you don’t want to miss your window of opportunity.
VOID OF COURSE MOON PERIODS
The moon represents your emotional needs. Your emotions fluctuate with the moon as it moves through its 28-day cycle around the zodiac from new moon to full and back to new. Notice how the moon’s placement in the zodiac affects your mood and emotions. Essential oils can help stabilize your mind and emotions. Generally earthy scents have the most harmonizing and stabilizing effects on the emotions.
These are great periods for taking it easy and going with the flow of events and completing projects. During Void of Course Moons your emotional body is going through a period of processing and integrating your recent experiences. You naturally clear out your emotions during these periods. Doing things that helps with this natural process are especially helpful now, i.e. relaxation, yoga, movement, hot baths with sea salts and essential oils, focused breathing.
Void of Course Moon Phases are not good for starting new projects, or launching new ventures, or having meetings (if you want to achieve anything), or signing contracts and making agreements as it’s less likely anything will come of any agreement, or it will be sluggish and slow to start.

- On July 12th we have a 3+ hour Void of Course Moon from 5:40am PT to 8:51am PT when the Aquarius Moon enters the sign of Pisces.
- On July 7th we have a 7 hour Void of Course Moon from 10:00am PT to 4:52pm PT when the Pisces Moon enters the sign of Aries.
