The week starts off with Moon in fun loving and enthusiastic Sagittarius.
However, Venus (personal love interests) at 25º Capricorn is Square to Uranus (the Awakener). There may be sudden unexpected change personal plans the you had your heart set on. Venus is still within orb of conjunction to the Sun. The Sun will exactly Square Uranus tomorrow.
There are some very auspicious and supportive energies at play, so go with the changes, if any. The Capricorn New Moon is on the 16th and you are may need to jettison a few things in preparation.

All dates are at exact peak of intensity when energies begin to culminate and wane. If you have personal planets or points within 1-2º orb of an aspect that’s occurring between planets then you will feel that celestial event more strongly.
January 13th & 14th – Today and tomorrow Venus and the Sun Conjunct at 25º Capricorn Exactly Square Uranus in Aries. Something you love and have a personal attachment to related to your vocation could be challenged now. You may need to make adjustments that, ultimately, free you up for greater rewards in the future. Maturity and diplomacy are called for.
During this same window of time the Moon (your emotional needs) Conjuncts Mercury (mind), Saturn (authority) at 25º Sagittarius and Trines Uranus. This softens any shake up from the Square between Sun and Venus and Uranus. These two days can really free you up in ways that will benefit you now and in the future.
January 15th – Jupiter at 19º Scorpio finally perfects its Sextile to Pluto in Capricorn. Significant opportunity for expanding your power base can occur now.
January 16th – Capricorn New Moon at 26º 54’ Capricorn. This is a lovely New Moon. It’s a fresh new beginning in your career/life calling sector. Excellent for seeding new vocational endeavors.
The Capricorn New Moon Conjuncts Pluto and Sextile Jupiter and Mars in Scorpio. Just before it perfects its Conjunction to the Sun at 6:17pm PT the Moon Squares Uranus in Aries. Helping break apart any resistance or blocks remaining in preparation for the New Moon Seed Point. The Capricorn New Moon is also Conjunct Venus.
There’s new potential birthed for expansion of your power and authority in the world. Love and emotional fulfillment are also on tap at this Capricorn New Moon. Fresh energy for taking action and experiencing new possibilities in your vocation and life calling can unfold.
January 17th – Venus enters the sign of Aquarius until February 10th. Your heart is centered on new visions for the future. This is not the best placement for Venus’s juicy and extravagant ways. There’s a certain detached, aloof quality to expressing Venus’s vivaciousness in Aquarius. Though it can be a great placement for setting your heart on realizing visions for your future. You’ll enjoy exploring contacts with new people who are completely different from yourself. It can also be a great time for community work and social gatherings that are altruistic.
January 19th – Mercury at 12º Capricorn Sextiles Neptune in Pisces. Today can present you with a great money making opportunity. Your mind and heart are in sync. There’s great communication between your ideals and dreams and the practical mental attitude needed to make them real. You could be meet someone who you feel instant attraction for, or get a brilliant idea.
January 19th – Sun enters Aquarius. The Sun joins Venus in Aquarius and helps warm things up for your heart energies. The Sun and Venus will be traveling companions until month’s end. Usually when the Sun and Venus join hands you feel more in love with life than usual. Generally life may feel more harmonious. It’s easier to go with the flow when the Sun and Venus are holding hands.
VOID OF COURSE MOON PERIODS
The moon represents your emotional needs. Your emotions fluctuate with the moon as it moves through its 28-day cycle around the zodiac from new moon to full and back to new. Notice how the moon’s placement in the zodiac affects your mood and emotions. Essential oils can help stabilize your mind and emotions. Generally earthy scents have the most harmonizing and stabilizing effects on the emotions.
Void of Course Moon periods are great for taking it easy and going with the flow of events and completing projects. During Void of Course Moons your emotional body is going through a period of processing and integrating your recent experiences. You naturally clear out your emotions during these periods. Doing things that helps with this natural process are especially helpful now, i.e. relaxation, yoga, movement, hot baths with sea salts and essential oils, focused breathing.
