The week starts off with Moon in Pisces making some auspicious contacts with several planets.
Today and tomorrow the Moon is conjunct Neptune and Sextile to Mercury in Capricorn and Trines Jupiter and Mars in Scorpio. Read today’s AER to find out what this means for you.

Sweet Orange (Citrus x sinensis) – The scent is fresh, sweet, citrus and fruity.

Rose (Rosa damascena) – The scent is sweet, rosy, floral, exotic and sensual.
- BEST oil for freeing emotions and emotional expression
- Aphrodisiac enhances sexual attractiveness and sex appeal
- Wonderful woman’s oil may promote hormone balance
Astro Energy Report Highlights
All dates are at exact peak of intensity when energies begin to culminate and wane. If you have personal planets or points within 1-2º orb of an aspect that’s occurring between planets then you will feel that celestial event more strongly.
January 24th – Mercury at 19º Capricorn Conjuncts Pluto. Powerful communication and connections can occur that are helpful to your vocational endeavors or supportive in some way to your life calling.
January 24th – We have the First Quarter Waxing Moon in Taurus. The time of the First Quarter Moon usually presents you with an opportunity to let go of something that no longer serves you. If there’s something holding you back or preventing you from taking action its time to let it go. The First Quarter Moon (emotional needs) is Trine to Saturn (the boss) which indicates you’re feeling emotionally supported. However, the Quarter Taurus Moon is also Square to the Sun Conjunct Venus in Aquarius. Don’t let lack of vision, or knowing in advance exactly how things will work out to be willing to jettison something that you know needs to be let go.
January 25th – Mercury at 20º Capricorn is Sextile Jupiter in Scorpio. There may be opportunity for expanding your communications and social networks. Your sense of authority and power base at work can be increased. This a great aspect for negotiating a business deal that can increase your future prospects.
January 26th – Mars enters the sign of Sagittarius where he remains until March 17th. Mars loves and performs well in fellow fire sign Sagittarius. It’s an expansive time. Your energy is high and physically you could be feeling much more vital and alive than you have in a long while.
January 31st – We have the Leo Super Full Moon Lunar Eclipse at 11º 37′. This is a Master Number degree and represents an opportunity for personal self mastery. The best way to embrace and make the most of the intense energies at play during the Supermoon Lunar Eclipse is to remain open, innocent and trusting. Be like the delighted child shown in today’s AER lead photo. The Leo Lunar Eclipse is making an intense T-Square near Cross Quarter Points in Scorpio, Aquarius and Leo which makes it an extraordinarily impactful and significant astrological event. I’ll go into the details for the Leo Lunar Eclipse in next week’s Moonscopes.
VOID OF COURSE MOON PERIODS
The moon represents your emotional needs. Your emotions fluctuate with the moon as it moves through its 28-day cycle around the zodiac from new moon to full and back to new. Notice how the moon’s placement in the zodiac affects your mood and emotions. Essential oils can help stabilize your mind and emotions. Generally earthy scents have the most harmonizing and stabilizing effects on the emotions.
Void of Course Moon periods are great for taking it easy and going with the flow of events and completing projects. During Void of Course Moons your emotional body is going through a period of processing and integrating your recent experiences. You naturally clear out your emotions during these periods. Doing things that helps with this natural process are especially helpful now, i.e. relaxation, yoga, movement, hot baths with sea salts and essential oils, focused breathing.
Void of Course Moon Phases are not good for starting new projects, or launching new ventures, or having meetings (if you want to achieve anything), or signing contracts and making agreements as it’s less likely anything will come of any agreement, or it will be sluggish and slow to start.
For your New and Full Moon Rituals make sure the Moon is not Void of Course and in aspect to another celestial body when doing your ritual for best results.
- On January 21st we have a 5+ hour Void of Course Moon from 5:13pm PT to 10:27pm PT when the Pisces Moon enters the sign of Aries.
- On January 23rd we have a 9+ hour Void of Course Moon from 8:16pm PT to 5:39am PT when the Aries Moon enters the sign of Taurus on January 24th.
- On January 25th we have a 14+ hour Void of Course Moon from 7:17pm PT to 9:40am PT on January 26th when the Taurus Moon enters the sign of Gemini.
