This Week’s General Astrology Forecast
The week starts off with the Moon in Virgo sextile to Venus in Scorpio, and trine to Pluto in Capricorn and in opposition to Neptune in Pisces.
An illumination or an opening may occur in the area of your life where the Virgo moon is located that brings opportunities for money, power and love.
As Venus has just stationed retrograde this can be an opportunity resurfacing, or something or someone could return to you that brings happiness.
BEST MONEY DAYS this week are the 6th and 8th.
Best Money Days are days when the collective celestial events bring greater than usual opportunities. This may not translate into direct and immediate cash in your pocket, but potential for increase in your future prospects. Of course when these days are talking harmoniously with your personal stars the increase multiplies exponentially.

Astro Energy Report Highlights
All dates are at exact peak of intensity when energies begin to culminate and wane. You may actually feel the energies several hours or even days or weeks (in the case of eclipses) before the Celestial Peak, Crest of the Wave, so to speak. If you have personal planets or points within 1-2º orb of an aspect that’s occurring between planets then you will feel that celestial event more strongly.
This can feel like a very intense week when things reach there breaking point, so that a new threshold of your life can be reached.
October 5 – Venus at 10º 50’ Scorpio Stations Retrograde. Venus is within 2º of a perfect square with her lover Mars in Aquarius. The square energy builds and the couple will form a perfect square on October 10th. Venus is currently Station until the Libra New Moon on October 8th. When a planet is station the energies constellated are more intense and apparent in your life.
October 8 – 15º 48’ Libra New Moon, exact at 8:47pm PT. The Libra New Moon conjunct the Sun brings new beginnings especially in the areas of relationships, contracts, commitments and agreements. A fresh start to one or more relationships is at hand. Or, perhaps a new contract or agreement is in the works.
Most astrologers would say if you can wait to sign on the dotted line until the 16th of November, after Venus stations direct, would be best. However, I say when a planet is retrograde your intuition is very strong and can bring unexpected opportunities you want to jump on. If the flow is to sign an agreement then definitely sign. Also, when a planet is retrograde there is better than usual potential for being able to re-negotiate for better terms on existing contracts, if desired.
Also, the Libra New Moon is trine to Mars. It feels to me that there’s an adjustment or breaking apart (Venus in Scorpio Square to Mars in Aquarius) that precedes the Libra new moon, so the way is cleared for you to experience a fresh new start.
October 9 – Mercury enters Scorpio until October 30th. You’ll enjoy the deeper side of life now. Uncovering dark secrets or deciphering hidden mysteries will capture your attention. Doing research and detective work can gets lots of air play. You won’t have time for small talk and being overly social when Mercury is in Scorpio though it’s great for planning and strategizing your next big plan! Powerful connections and communications can happen during Mercury’s transit through Scorpio.
October 10 – Mercury at 1º Scorpio opposes Uranus in Taurus. There’s much being illuminated in your conscious mind. Mercury’s opposition to Uranus is a major wake-up for you when ideas lying deeply buried in your unconscious mind can surface for integration.
October 10 – Venus station at 10º 12’ Scorpio perfects her square to Mars in Aquarius. You may need to make a few adjustments in the areas of your life where Mars and Venus (most especially) are located now. Changes are needed. Extreme tension helps you to do whatever is necessary to move forward.
October 11 – Sun at 19º Libra squares Pluto in Capricorn. Power struggles between yourself and the status quo can ensue now. All things work together, nothing operates in a vacuum as you can gather from how the cosmic forces are unfolding this week. You’re getting an opportunity to stand in your power. Arguing with the powers that be will get you no where. You must transcend your apparent obstacles. Let the power of grace operate to help you navigate any seeming insurmountable difficulties.
October 12 – Mercury at 4º Scorpio sextiles Saturn in Capricorn. Glad to see Mercury at this particular degree sextile to Saturn. This looks like an adaptable structure that helps you make the most of your opportunities. It can take numerous forms, i.e. a change of attitude, a new set of wheels that helps you get around better in life, or a new business plan that attracts investors. This energy can play out in many ways for you. Your mind is open and adaptable with a depth that is uncharacteristic of Mercury, but a welcomed sight. Your maturation is showing in a good way!
November 7th – The North Node moves into the sign of Cancer today until 2020. That means the South Node (tail of the dragon) will be in Capricorn during that time period. You may already be feeling the shift in energy.
The Eclipse season starts early in 2019. The first Solar Eclipse New Moon is at 15º 25′ Capricorn on January 5th at 5:28pm PT. However, the first Lunar Eclipse New Moon is a 0º 52′ Leo and is a Supermoon, just 52 minutes from Cancer. Being so close it will effectively activate the new eclipse season in Cancer. While at the same time complete any final ‘clean-up’ needed in Leo. Leo very much represents the King and Queen aristocratic part of us. It was needing a major makeover and Boy has it gotten one!
VOID OF COURSE MOON PERIODS
The moon represents your emotional needs. Your emotions fluctuate with the moon as it moves through its 28-day cycle around the zodiac from new moon to full and back to new. Notice how the moon’s placement in the zodiac affects your mood and emotions. Essential oils can help stabilize your mind and emotions. Generally earthy scents have the most harmonizing and stabilizing effects on the emotions.
Void of Course Moon periods are great for taking it easy and going with the flow of events and completing projects. During Void of Course Moons your emotional body is going through a period of processing and integrating your recent experiences. You naturally clear out your emotions during these periods. Doing things that helps with this natural process are especially helpful now, i.e. relaxation, yoga, movement, hot baths with sea salts and essential oils, focused breathing.
Void of Course Moon Phases are not good for starting new projects, or launching new ventures, or having meetings (if you want to achieve anything), or signing contracts and making agreements as it’s less likely anything will come of any agreement, or it will be sluggish and slow to start.
For your New and Full Moon Rituals make sure the Moon is not Void of Course and in aspect to another celestial body when doing your ritual for best results.
- October 7th we leave a 11 hour Void of Course Moon from 7:03am PT until 6:10pm PT when the Virgo Moon enters the sign of Libra.
- October 9th we have a 19+ hour Void of Course Moon from 1:50am PT to 9:09pm PT when the Libra Moon enters the sign of Scorpio.
- October 11th we have a 10+ hour Void of Course Moon from 4:12pm PT to 2:53am PT on October 12th when the Scorpio Moon enters the sign of Sagittarius.
