The Scorpio Full Moon actually peaks over two days on May 9th and 10th. Here’s it’s astrological profile.
Over these two days the Sun at 19º Taurus is exactly Trine to Pluto, the planet of power and regeneration, now Retrograde in Capricorn and Sextile to Neptune the planet of dreams.
At the Scorpio Full Moon Mercury, the communicator, at 25º Aries exactly conjuncts Uranus, the Awakener, for the third and final time. This is an electric joining and as with all conjunctions a moment of conception when something new is born.
On May 10th we have the 20º Scorpio Full Moon exact at 2:42pm PT. The Moon immediately goes Void of Course exactly at its full lunation (see Void of Course phases below for suggestions about when to do your Full Moon ritual).
The Scorpio Full Moon is exactly Trine to Neptune, the planet of dreams and ideals and Trine to Pluto
This is a time of great renewal when fulfillment of a dream or dreams can be realized. With the Mercury Uranus conjunction whatever comes to fruition has a flavor of some kind of enlightening form of communication being birthed.
Looks like an awesome full moon. It’s nice aspects to Neptune and Pluto can bring a great deal of prosperity and influence now and into the future.
On May 11th Mars at 13º Gemini Squares Neptune in Pisces. As with all Square aspects there can be some tension or conflict that surfaces. The great thing about Squares is that they really good you to taking action to find resolution of tension. It’s a brief period that may have started yesterday and culminates soon after the exact peak at 10:53am PT today.
On this same day Mercury at 26º Aries Trines Saturn in Sagittarius. This helps with grounding the energy unleashed by the Mars Square Neptune and helps you connect harmoniously. Looks like easy flowing energy and communication that’s imaginative and supports a lively exchange. Saturn keeps things practical and grounded.
On May 12th Mars at 14º Trines Jupiter in Libra. This is a lovely day that’s been building since yesterday. Great for being active and your mind is open and inquisitive, ready to explore. Relationships and great conversations are highlighted now.
VOID OF COURSE MOON PERIODS
The moon represents your emotional needs. Your emotions fluctuate with the moon as it moves through its 28-day cycle around the zodiac from new moon to full and back to new. Notice how the moon’s placement in the zodiac affects your mood and emotions. Essential oils can help stabilize your mind and emotions. Generally earthy scents have the most harmonizing and stabilizing effects on the emotions.
These are great periods for taking it easy and going with the flow of events and completing projects. During Void of Course Moons your emotional body is going through a period of processing and integrating your recent experiences. You naturally clear out your emotions during these periods. Doing things that helps with this natural process are especially helpful now, i.e. relaxation, yoga, movement, hot baths with sea salts and essential oils, focused breathing.
Void of Course Moon Phases are not good for starting new projects, or launching new ventures, or having meetings (if you want to achieve anything), or signing contracts and making agreements as it’s less likely anything will come of any agreement, or it will be sluggish and slow to start.

- On May 6th we have a 5+ hour Void of Course Moon from 5:425am PT to 11:20am PT when the Virgo Moon moves into the sign of Libra.
- On May 8th we have a 6 hour Void of Course Moon from 3:59pm PT to 10:01pm PT when the Libra Moon enters the sign of Scorpio.
- On May 10th at 2:42pam PT we have a 20º Scorpio Full Moon. The Scorpio Full Moon immediately goes Void of Course for 7 hours until it enters the sign of Sagittarius at 9:59am PT on May 11th.
